Alison Pill

Pill was a producer in her home country of Canada which took many years to reach the point where she entered the American market. Bruce Gray starred on an episode on the Canadian show Traders. Pill secured a role on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation with Wallace Langham, Liz Vassey as well as Michael Ensign, in the episode "Would have, Can, Shoulda", co-written and starred in by Naren Shakar. In the immediate aftermath of her work in Picard, Pill appeared in a major supporting role in the well-loved science fiction miniseries Devs (served by the digital VFX company Double Negative) produced by FX Productions for Hulu, similar to her character in Picard as well, she appeared in each episode, acting in a nearly identical role in the role of scientists "Katie". The similarity with Picard was not just a coincidence. The show's creators revealed that same year, the main theme of Devs revolved around the ability to keep consciousness within an artificial construct. It was also the case in the case of Data as well.
