Kellie Martin is the American actor and director of films, is best known for her role as Christy Huddleston on the period drama 'Christy", Rebecca Thatcher on the drama about families Life Goes On> and Lucy Knight for the medical drama ER. Kellie Martin is most famous for her performance as the protagonist in the Hailey Dean Mystery Series. Born to a department-store buyer and a kindergarten teacher Martin began her career in acting when she was just seven, when her aunt who was the nanny of actor Michael Landon's kids, was able to help her get her a role in the 1982 show 'Father Murphy'. Her professional career began after graduating Yale University. This led to her landing substantial parts in both the television as well as the film industry. Martin is a professional actress in addition to a gifted photographer and dancer, has been in the business for more than 20 years. Martin's sister, who died due to Lupus at the age of 19, inspired her to become the Lupus national spokesperson.
